Gonzaga Font Family

Gonzaga is a modern typeface that updates the classic Clarendon slab serif. It has a bold, emotional design, perfect for a range of projects. Although not inspired by Luiz Gonzaga, the name was chosen to give a lively, vibrant feel.

This typeface features clean, contemporary lines and avoids the traditional rounded terminals. Its lowercase letters, like “a,” “g,” “k,” and “z,” add a playful rhythm to the text. Gonzaga works well in small sizes, making it great for editorial and branding use. It also includes true italics, which give it extra personality.

Gonzaga comes in 18 styles, from Thin to Black, with both upright and italic options. It has many ligatures (regular, contextual, and discretionary) and expert Cyrillic support, including Bulgarian. While designed mainly for display use, it’s also highly readable for small and medium-sized paragraphs due to careful spacing and kerning.

This typeface is ideal for logos, headlines, posters, and packaging.
